Emergency Medical Assistance for People in Mozambique
Northern Mozambique, particularly the province of Cabo Delgado, has for years been affected by armed attacks, displacement and extreme weather events. As a result, access to basic healthcare services is severely limited in many areas, especially in resettlement villages and hard-to-reach rural communities.
In 2026, Liechtenstein is supporting SolidarMed’s Emergency Preparedness and Response project with a contribution of CHF 50,000. SolidarMed deploys mobile health teams, supports local healthcare facilities and strengthens health emergency preparedness and response capacities.
Through this contribution, Liechtenstein provides assistance to internally displaced people and host communities and helps ensure access to life-saving medical care, including in remote and crisis-affected areas.
Project goals
Ensure access to essential and life-saving healthcare services for internally displaced people and host communities.
Bridge gaps in healthcare provision through mobile health teams.
Strengthen local health emergency preparedness and response capacities.
