Building a Clean Energy Skills Ecosystem for Cambodia

Cambodia's clean energy transition requires a skilled workforce aligned with industry demands. Despite ambitious policies, including the National EV Roadmap and Energy Efficiency Policy, training programs lag behind the labour market needs in renewable energy deployment, energy efficiency, and electric mobility.

This project bridges the gap by assessing skills needs, designing a roadmap, and implementing interventions to build a capable workforce, supporting Cambodia’s sustainable energy future.

Project goals

The program’s goal is for Cambodia’s workforce to be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to participate in the clean energy transition. From a stakeholder sustainability perspective, key partners (including regulators, utilities, and business) will be empowered with the knowledge to participate meaningfully.

Cambodia’s workforce is equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to participate in the clean energy transition by 2030.

Cambodia’s clean energy skills needs are well documented such that the Cambodian Government and the private sector have sufficient knowledge and tools to improve national workforce planning in the sector.
