More and more migrants are fleeing to Bosnia-Herzegovina, and many of them end up staying there. In 2023 alone, the Office for Foreigners' Affairs registered 34‘409 people, more than 11% of whom were unaccompanied minors.

Eleven paediatric hospitals in Ukraine ("Schools for Superheroes") give children who have to stay in hospital for a longer period of time due to long-term treatment or rehabilitation the opportunity to take part in school lessons.
